Congressman Jim McGovern (D-MA-2) gave a speech on the house floor January 17th, 2024 addressing the growing threat of nuclear weapons and the urgency of global negotiations for disarmament. McGovern promoted the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, which celebrated its 3rd anniversary of its entry into force with 93 signatories and 70 ratifiers on January 22nd, 2024.
