Lobby Day for MA Nuclear Weapons Commission Bill
Wed April 13 @ 11:30 am – 3:00 pm EDT
Join us at the MA State House to support a bill to address the threat of nuclear weapons in Massachusetts. This bill would establish a citizen’s commission to research and recommend to the state legislature ways to better protect the citizens of Massachusetts from the existential threat of nuclear weapons. Learn more about the bill here.
The full name of the bill is “RESOLVE PROVIDING FOR AN INVESTIGATION AND STUDY BY A SPECIAL COMMISSION RELATIVE TO THE EXISTENTIAL THREAT POSED BY NUCLEAR WEAPONS TO THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS” (S.1555 & H.3688).
Join us for a lobby day on Wednesday, April 13, 11:30am to 3pm at the State House, which is now open to the public for the first time in almost two years. Meet at the 4th Floor cafe in the State House. We will hear from legislators and activists about the bill, then break up into small groups to visit legislators’ offices and ask for their support. Register to attend.
