Legislative influence:

Despite being a Dutch company working on French nuclear missiles, Airbus is also very active in Washington, spending over $3 million in lobbying Members of Congress in 2023, according to OpenSecrets.org. Airbus maintains 42 lobbyists in Washington and among other issues, these lobbyists focus on the budget and appropriations bills for the Department of Defense. Through its Airbus Group PAC, Airbus has so far spent over $140,000 on the re-election campaigns of 44 Members of Congress and 16 Senators in 2024.

Nuclear weapons work:

Main contractor, through Ariane Group, for producing and maintaining the M51 submarine-launched nuclear missiles for the French navy.
Also contracted to work on successor to the M51, the M51.3, due to enter into service in 2025.
Main contractor, through MBDA France, for producing and maintaining France’s air-to-ground nuclear cruise missile, the ASMPA.
